If you have never worked with Amanda before select FIRST TIMER COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE

We are doing a Pop-Up Happy-Hour Community Acupuncture Event!
If you have never worked with Amanda before, this is the option you need to select. In order for her to be able to give you quality care you will want to arrive 10-15 minutes early to fully fill out the health history/intake form. The first 10-20 minutes of your appointment will be reviewing this information , communicating realistic expectations for your goal and what can be achieved in one acupuncture session, and the placement of acupuncture needles. The remaining 30-50 minutes you will rest with the acupuncture needles while your muscles progressively relax and the energy realigns.

The setting is a shared space; a yoga studio where you will be on a yoga mat possibly near others also receiving acupuncture. If you will not be comfortable on a yoga mat for 50 minutes this is not the event for you!

We will be providing mats, blankets, and bolsters.

ESTABLISHED CLIENT COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE

Grab items you need for comfort, pick a yoga mat to spread out on, and leave the completed sheet beside you. The first 10 minutes of your appointment will be reviewing this information and communicating goals for this acupuncture session. The remaining 30-50 minutes you will rest with the acupuncture needles while your muscles progressively relax and the energy realigns.

Why Community Style Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an amazing preventive medicine that can be utilized to help to keep things in balance. It is great for addressing all the things that do not yet need medication or surgery. The more chronic a condition becomes, the more frequently acupuncture is needed to reverse the tide. This can get expensive. Community Acupuncture came about as a way to offer realistic continuous care for those whose finances do not permit them to work with a practitioner 1 on 1.

What is the difference between 1 on 1 and community acupuncture?

In my 1 on 1 sessions: 1) clients have the room to themselves 2) we often spend 20 minutes discussing their health concerns and goals 3) I use points on the arms and legs as well as the torso and head 4) I often incorporate bodywork, cupping, gua sha, infrared light therapy, and/or craniosacral therapy.

In Community Acupuncture you can expect 1) a shared healing space 2) cheaper rates! 3) points primarily on the arms and legs 4) 10 minutes for discussion and needle placement 5) A simple “neck release” to support relaxation
